Great to see so many new faces, especially in the Open class, but where were the usual faces? Many of those guys were racing for the first time, like 2nd placed rider Morne Myburg who gave Buks vd Berg a run! And great to see some Raptors join the fray.

A real good turnout by the Banshee guys too, who never fail to put on a good show with close, hard and clean racing!

Exceptional performances by Tyler Johnson in the 50cc class (unstoppable) and Devon Wilson in the 100cc Modified class (well he is racing for two Wilsons)

The vets put on the best race most of us have seen on the oval this whole year. Well done guys. No quarter asked, none given and no prisoners taken!! Bad luck in the last heat Fred and Zelda, your mishap took the pot off the boil a bit.

banshees are like harleys, they put the tassles on the end of each handlebar just to show that it is moving! the banshee screams but when you look, it goes no where!

"Be afraid" was the first thing that came to my mind when a newbie rider recently asked me if I thought Yamaha's Banshee would be a good bike for first-time riders. The Banshee is pure evil: It bucks, wiggles and spins under hard acceleration, shaking its head over bumps at speed. And don't you dare miss a first-to-second or second-to-third shift under full throttle -- it'll try and burst your eardrums with its freespinning engine. Newbie riders should simply skip the shee and go straight to the morgue. Each time I ride the banshee, it's an adventure, a conquest, and I feel I've overcome the beast one more time. Mind you, it's not ugly, it's menacing, and I can hear it taunting me now: "Come on, Goigen, go for it, powerslide me, you haven't come close to my limits yet, you know you want to, you ninny. So get off your ass and let's go riding!"
